Stefanie Lisabeth re-discovered her love for painting during therapysessions while battling depression.
The focus on improving her technique made her forget the negative feelings that made her lose sight of life's meaning.

It took years to recover and she took that time to create humorous, sexual and ambiguous paintings, mostly as a reminder
of the importance of humour in her life.

To her, laughter was an important sign of healing.

The result of this process was shown at the expo 'DE VOGELAARS' ('SWALLOW')
With this expo Stefanie closed the door on what she sees as her therapeutic paintings and use her skilldevelopment from these 'therapysessions' to open up the door to the next chapter;

going deeper and darker.
